Our government has a plan to tear apart our community. We need to plan to protect it. 

That is why I am asking you to join our neighbors for an urgent Community Forum this Sunday at 4PM in Stockton. Please RSVP now so we know you are coming. 

The threat our neighbors face has escalated dramatically. The administration has backed its rhetoric by tripling ICE's budget to $30 billion.

To make matters worse, the Supreme Court just gave ICE a green light for racial profiling - legally allowing agents to stop and detain our neighbors based on nothing more than their ethnicity, the language they speak, or the work they do.

We have already seen the impacts of this. A report from Los Angeles shows that, already, immigrant renters' weekly earnings have fallen by 62%; 1 in 8 renters now face threats from their own landlords to call ICE.

No one in our community should have to choose between going to work or letting their family starve. 

The government is coordinated. The landlords are emboldened. We must be more coordinated. We must be more united. This forum is our first big step.

They have billions of dollars. We have each other. But we cannot build a community defense without the community.
